Yep, it was fun doing it.... had to cut some of the sheetmetal too... plus I
got rid of the power steering pump when swapped to manual steering rack.

The cooler became part of the grill and since it was black from few feet
away it just looked like a funky grill... ;)

Ben,

I know Martin Pajak was able to shoehorn a stock MC
intercooler into a CGT. You might want to contact him
although I don't have an email. He has a website
somewhere too.
