Wheels mod (LAC)

There is a whole selection of 15-inch wheels that you could use from other Audis. I have some 5-spoke '93 90q wheels on my Coupe GT. The offset is not correct, but they don't rub, even with oversize tires on them. They are the correct bolt pattern and are hub-centric. And they look cool too. Before that I had CQ or 90q20v Speedlines on it. I'd guess that 4-bolt Audi 15-inch wheels would be easily available at your local wrecker for not too much money.

Subject: Wheels mod (LAC)

Haudi all,
I would appreciate general advice and BTDT on wheels. I need 4X108 15"
wheels and the single add offering those in the marketplace was on the
wrong coast. Plus, they were nice BBS ones and want to play in the
dirt. So, in case no-one has any to get rid of cheapish and the
shipping costs being high-ish, I'm thinking of getting some from Ford
(Nomex on) being plentifull and all.
First set of ?: Has anyone made sleeves to fit between the hub and the
wheel? Did they work? Is Aluminium strong enough for the sleeves? Any
ideas on shape?
Second set of ?: Is it really dumb and unsafe to bore out 4X100 to 108?
Will the wheels fall off?

Thanks in advance for any advice,

TT
