DISTRIBUTOR ALIGNMENT for the seventh time.

The body does not matter, it can point any way.  What matters is where 
the shaft is aligned relative to it.  Slip the shaft in any way, keying 
to the cam gear.  now adjust the body so it creates the appropriate 
"idle" timing, in your case, about 12 deg BTDC.

You can get a head start by alinging the TDC mark on the ist body with 
the rotor, or getting fancy and turning the motor to TDC and putting the 
rotor a bit "ahead."
