Automatic antenna source

The antenna mast is available from the dealer - about 40.00. If it was
working fine before (not grinding after retracting/extending) then you
are looking at 45 minutes work with a phillips screwdriver and a 8/10mm
wrench start to finish.
Go to antennaworld.com - they actually post the dealer pn as they don't
offer it. They offer used parts if needed, except for the big black
gear. If that is chewed up, you'll have to source that part from a
junkyard. It gets chewed up because the nylon chassis is worn out,
allowing the metal gear to walk and chew up the black gear. I've rebuild
4 of these and they are really simple. They are also one of the finest
electric antennas out there, so give it a go before you give up on it.
