The '87 will have the older style dash and interior, which would
be a significant downgrade from the '89 that you're used to.
I don't know if that matters, but just a heads up. Also, it's
a non-t*rsen, for better or for worse.

Interestingly enough, I find the older interior to have its own character and luxery feel. It lasts a long time too, providing the leather hasn't worn through in the seats - and it is easy enough to get a set for replacement.
I also think the stereo system - wiring and speakers is good enough to get a nice head unit to drive the sound.
Although my '91 200 20V tqa is torsen, I would choose the older over it. Not about to go to the trouble of retrofitting, but it is a matter of preference.
