How do you tighten inner CV-joint bolts? (Type-44)

I've used another method. Screw the five wheel bolts partially into the
wheel hub, then place one end of a crow bar or other long piece of steel
between two of the bolts in such a way that the other end of the bar rests
on the floor, thus resisting the turning of the wheel. It is easy to
relocate the bar for each bolt on the CV. This avoids you having to lift the
vehicle several times. As mentioned by others it is most important to use
long extensions to bring your ratched out past the wheel hub. This prevents
you stripping the bolts, and allows for application of more torque.
