Loctite is there mainly to prevent the moisture getting through and 
rusting the shaft splines and bearings. Using a compound that doesn't 
set hard is sufficient, and very much easier to remove next time.

The shaft nut is self locking, as well as all other suspension related 
nuts, and needs no other compound applied.
