The blower that blows air across the turbo ( turbo cooler I suppose) stays on all the time even after the engine has cooled, I've never noticed the blower working at all before and now it won't quit, I finally unplugged the connector after about 45 min. with the ignition off. any suggestions? 88 5kT]

As Ben said, the ground to the temp. switch is most likely grounded
elsewhere on the engine, but while you're at it, change the switch for
one with 83 or 86?C value (not sure which), which works wery well, while
the other two values of 100 and 120?C, let the underbonnet temp to high.
