The one I'm looking at is basically a K26 clipped hot side coupled with a
T3 60 trim cold side (which is the biggest T3 you can get). The flow maps
are comparable with the RS2 if not a bit smaller, but definitely very
efficient compared with the K24.
My goals for the car are different than some.. I drove Tom Mulane's S6
w/RS2 EM/turbo and decided that ~3200 RPM felt a little late to me for
boost to be coming on. I don't mind sacrificing a few HP above 6K for
more low end grunt. I'll save the nutty turbos for my 4ktq which is being
converted more for track use.
I'm "only" looking to get about 300HP ATW with the car, so I don't think I
will need a turbo much bigger than the T3/K26 hybrid I'm looking at
currently. Tough to beat for the price, and allows 300HP easily without
riding and exceeding the surge line of the K24.
