Tim,
      The speed limiter is hard coded into the ECU program (i.e. "the 
chip").  Aftermarket chips (such as GIAC, APR, etc.) remove this limiter.

LOL... yeah, make it a Torch Red 2002 Z06 with "C5 Z06" on the plates... oh, 
wait... that's what I did!  And believe me, no artificial speed limiter in 
that ECU!    =)

So Scott, gonna come drive my Vette at the Glen again this year?  I'll be 
instructing at NEQ events and Tracquest, so "come on out!"
