Good point.  Teaching people how to take good care of their cars is
always worthwhile.  My argument was not so much "old car =
environmental disaster area" as "motorsport = environmental disaster
area".  Indeed, old cars can be good simply because cars are hard to
recycle.  The truth of this is the real tragedy: new cars don't have
appreciably better mileage than old ones.
