Just to be clear Javad, I followed your advice, I spoke with the local Girl
Scout leaders and they are not only switching to Evian, they have also
agreed to carpool more effectively with their Hummer H2's and Excursion's so
that we can rev the engine on a 2.0L Mitsubishi once a week.

Thanks again for the interest and thanks to those who have responded
directly, please keep it coming.

Sean, you should be ashamed of yourself, speeding our demise of fossil fuels
this much faster!

To make up for it, you should campaign for each Girl Scouts of America Troop
to use one less styrofoam cup each week they meet, to offset all the
pollution
and fossil fuel use done by automotive enthusiasts events in the US.

Blah. All the country needs is _yet_ more interest in cars.

* Cars are useful, and can obviously be fun, but creating an
organisation around the premise of burning yet more gasoline just
  seems irresponsible.

* Even if you move the noise and obnoxiousness somewhere safe, you're
still encouraging it. I know people who are members of certain
youth motorsport clubs. The youth tend to thrive as they are
praised for their obnoxiousness, and too many of them take it with
them into the world, even if they leave their cars behind. Not that
such clubs must always do this, but it seems hard to avoid.

Of course, if you're planning on trying to start a car club that
teaches responsibility, I appreciate the thought. I have my doubts
that it will be successful given the sheer surreality of combining
social awareness with motorsports, but it can't hurt to try.
