Ok I think i can follow where this is going, although not sure who put the
first thread up. Anyways being a "youth" 20, I believe that "we" need to be
tought how to do small maintenance on our cars. Changing the oil, filters,
lights, and even brakes are not hard tasks. I Just talked to a cute blonde today
in class who drives a 99 Wolfsberg (sp?), she took it to Wal Mart to get her
oil changed!!??? They didn't latch her hood properly and it blew off going
down the highway doing over 2g in damage. Although I also know parents who drive
nice cars and only change the oil when it is convenient for them and think
that it is no big deal because they are new cars and don't nead as much
maintenance. This does sound like a good club idea for teens, not sure how interested
girl scouts would be. I know lots a kids that would of loved the opportunity
to join something like that. Also would look good on a college and job
resume. Hope this helps.
