Next planned mod: new aux. gauges, but need some advice

I'm coming into this thread a bit late so I apologize for
irrelevant/duplicate information in advance.
The Turbo Diesel Audi 5000 used an adapter to run both the high and low
pressure oil switches out of the same galley hole.
It consists of a banjo bolt (p/ 035 103 715) and adapter piece (035 103
717) The banjo bolt is M10X1 thread and has an M10X1 port in the bolt
head. The adapter also has an M10X1 port in it.
I used this setup on my 1.6 TD at the oil filter flange, and when the oil
temperature sender was on the adapter it did not accurately reflect the
temperature of the oil, because, as Huw says, there is not enough oil flow
past the sensor when it is in a blind passage.
