Bilstein/H&R conversion: What parts to re-use?

Thanks for the help. The cap for the boot seems to fit, but I'm not sure if I should keep the lower washer that goes above the bump stop (in the original design). Did you end up getting rid of that too when installing Bilsteins? About the oil, what kind of oil would be appropriate? Will the oil affect the rubber seal on the new strut cap? Thanks for the advice.

Generally speaking, there is internal bump stop
inside Bilstein cartridge, so you don't need the OEM
stop, and you can chop it off. All other parts you
should use. The boot carrier part you have to keep,
providing the shaft is same diameter, otherwise new
one is required. The boot carrying part should be
big enough to allow full susp. travel before
contact. Make also sure that you fill the cavity
between the cartridge and strut wall with old oil,
for temperature transfer, without it, the cartridge
is going to have much shorter life.
