I have a couple of (hopefully) minor prob's w/my '87 5kcstq; any
ideas/btdt's appreciated:
1. Cruise control only works after holding the Set button for a long time.
Sometimes it requires multiple pushes.
> Probably a pedal switch (brake/clutch vacuum) issue. See Scott
>Mockry's site <www.sjmautotechnik.com > for details on this, it does
>involve removing the lower dash, which is a pain.
2. On first start up and running for 30sec-1min or so, the brakes act
poorly--pedal is super-firm, but virtually no power to stop. Scary when
pulling out of a parking spot! Then after a very short period, they're
normal. I'm trying to think of when this happened...I had a steering rack
>sounds like a dead bomb (hydraulic pressure accumulator, i.e. Pentosin >system)
