K&N filters bad?

Just a datapoint, but I've replaced MAF's on both '91 200tq 20v's and S4's
that have had oil contamination failures, and K&N filters installed.
Wouldn't run one myself, unless I was out for that last 1% and was willing
to babysit it a bit. Of course, for that last 1% I've put up with
noisy/stiff/expensive stuff before. That said, your car doesn't have a MAF
sensor, and I've never seen any CIS related issues with K&N's. Try one if
you like, but don't expect any measureable performance gains from it on an
otherwise stock car.
