So, how many people have blowed up real good while washing parts with
gasoline?

And re: K&N, just to provide some balance of opinion, not to recommend
them: Had a 6" cone on a 944 (my OEM airbox was broken and the stealer
wanted $240) for about 100K km, had close to 230K km when expired from
an accident (not me behind the wheel) - Motronic but with a flap Air
flow meter.  And my wife (who doesn't much care about cars) still
remembers after 5 years or so the intake sound under open throttle.  
Now have K&N on the an NG CIS for about 150K km, it has 265+K on the odo
and recently the compression was in the 150's PSI.  I imagine if oil is
dripping from the filter when installed one can have problems.
