When I've been bitten, it's because I select the
material to be deleted, then press the Enter key,
which in Word replaces the selected text with a
new line.  I think the mailer accepts that Enter
key as a "send this message now" command. But
that's just a guess, as I'm usually p'd when I
see my message being sent when I didn't mean to,
and I'm not paying attention to what actually
happened.

Don't beat yourself up over it.  If it happens
again, just apologize again. Apologies go a
long way.
