Sometimes to much

I was watching a Commercial today and saw one for a new Lexus and it was talking about how the cars now can recognize there owners. and Ive seen the infrared windshield wiper sensors that can tell when there's water on the windshield, radar cruise control that slows the car when you get to close to another car, voice activated everything. is it to much sometimes? i don't know. what does everyone else think? i think were going to way to far with some cars, yet part of me wants to design the same type of systems for my 84 4k.
