Yep, Brett, this seems to be the case. What pisses me off most is that
for _this_much_money_ I didn't get to chose my own options, being
force-fed the option package that some lazy marketing exec with his
wretched tastes and perception has come up with for me.
A case in point: I wanted Xenons and the moonroof. AoA forces me to get
the leather which I hate with a passion. Don't think so. The net result:
I got neither and AoA sold me a bare bone car at the invoice price
whereas could've sold me a few options. Idiots.
Moreover. It looks like from 2005 forward there will be no turbo+stick
combos in large cars. Pretty much like it was the case from m.y. 1996
through 2000. If by the time I decide to replace my current 1997 UrS6
with a new car AoA marketing does not pull their head out of their
behind, I'll be shopping elsewhere for my new car. Quite possibly in the
Saabaru camp.
William, AoA have finally come through and replaced the ABS controller
in the A4. They took some convincing but in the end my request was
satisfied.
