  Where's your starting point, Ben?  Depending on the time of the year there are some really nice things in this area (West Virginia).  Have you ever tried white water rafting?  Is your daughter old enough to participate in such an adventure?  We have what is claimed to be the best rafting in the east.  Warm weather is helpful for such an adventure.  :-)

  There are also any number of quite scenic drives over mountain roads in the area.  We are on an almost direct route between Florida and Niagara Falls.
