type 44 headlights - 4X6 in a 200

Drew, I did this to my 86 5ktq sedan. My donor was a 1984 5kt.

Bottom line - piece of cake and it looks good and I can see at night!

I originally thought that I would need the big steel crossmember that
goes behind the light buckets and the grille, but turns out that all you
need are the grille itself, the metal light buckets and the trim, which
all go on very cleanly. This was on an 86 vs your 89 but I don't think
there were any cosmetic changes in those years, were there? Ti?

In my case, there was no cutting or pasting involved. Simply remove
from the 84 and install in the 86.

If you like the look of the 4 lamp system, I'd say go for it. I would
have already done it to my 88 avant but it came with Euros already
installed :)

Good luck with the conversion

Stephane
