Yes, I think I specify on the site that those type 85 bumper markers are 
too deep to use like I did without dropping that boat anchor off the 
engine.

While I was in the middle of the project, I also had on hand some $20 
cheapo "fog lights" from PEP BOYZ, just in case I preferred them.  That 
is my suggestion, they'll be a lot shallower, and usually have amber 
lenses, and have some sort of mounting hardware as well.

I also had to remove the tow/tie down hook thing and it's bracket from 
the bumper to fit the signals.

You could also just use the city lights and add some side markers (which 
I recommend anyway as a safety feature).  Not sure how visible the city 
lights will be with the headlights on, though.
