Sorry to notice this Email so LATE! But to my knowledge they are 110AMP NOT
115. And as you all know (with all the spam we get) size is everything!

The housing is considerably bigger than the 90AMP but as Chris said, it can
be installed via the correct bracket!
Just to add another "twist", some units (none that I have seen!) can also be
contained in the bigger housing yet produce/deliver only 90AMP rating.

So to summarize the above; if you have the larger housing you "more than
likely" have the 110AMP alternator with the caveat mentioned above!

Both alternators can also be rebuilt to exceed their OEM rating; the 90AMP
(earlier version) can be built up to 130AMP and the 110AMP can be built up
to 150AMP, give or take.

To add a little more to the story; the later Bosch alternators which are:
115 and 120AMP can also be rebuilt to increase amperage delivery 150 to
170AMP respectively. The higher AMP can "come in handy" for the "group" that
likes big audio systems!

All the 2.3L cars should be 115amp spec, '87/'88 5ks. But the 90amp version
is interchangeable with the matching mounting bracket.
