What year/model, what engine, what system (stock, custom, transplant)?

Is the engine still running at this point?

Sounds like your meter isn't actually hooked up, or working, or something.

dpr current is controlled by the computer, and is fixed by a temp map
until the engine is warm and goes into closed loop (after 2-3 minutes, 
usually).  Then it is
constantly adjusted in a feedback loop with the oxygen sensor.

If your car is "running fine", I suspect something really out of whack 
in how the meter was hooked up.
