coolant issues...

Thanks for the tips.  I haven't yet mastered the art
of junkyard mining...though it seems like a good way
to get less expensive parts.  So I'll take a look at
this new part.

All the responses from you guys has me rethinking my
rethinking in which I was rethinking my purchase of
this car :)  As of this weekend I've got the auto-x
bug but I think the 4k is ill-suited for it, and my
99.5 a4 is pretty fun to autocross I've discovered.
But with all the love and support of the old, maybe
I'll stick around.  I was already thinking of selling
it to go towards getting some decent tires and shocks
for my a4.  I'm so fickle :)  I've barely given this
4k a chance to get to know me...er or vice versa.
