I have used the "twist" sockets to remove some of the most stubborn
allens. Many companies sell these (including Sears). I bought my first
set about a year ago when I had two very stripped/stuck caliper bolts on
the 200TQA. A friend brought over this socket that looked like a flower
inside and told me to try it. It worked so incredibly well that I bought
myself the complete set off the SnapOn truck. When I pulled the
transmission on V8Q #1 (after it had sat outside for a year), I think I
shaved at least 4 hours off the job by using one of these sockets to
remove the really tight Allen bolts in the rear driveshaft.

I checked it on the SnapOn site, here is what it looks like:

oup_ID=11664&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog

You can probably get a good set much cheaper than the SnapOn, just
posting the above page as a reference (since I could look it up by the
SKU number on the socket.)
