Hey all,
not sure if this would work in this case but, i had the misfortune of
actually breaking the head completley off a gound bolt on my subi once(soft
steel, not auto grade I wish i was that strong LOL). Anyway, there is such a
thing as an extractor for just such a situation, consists of a small drill
bit, and a reversed tap, drill out the center VERY VERY carefully and then
thread in the tap till it bottoms and it will pull out what's left of the
bolt. I believe they can be had at home cheapo or your local hdwr center.
Good luck!
