Plug wires, distributor cap, rotor - BTDT with a 5K - every time it rained 
the car ran like ****, finally changed the cap and wires, cured it 
immediately and completely.

Same symptoms - ran like crap unless almost floored.

There was some kind of alien green grunge from Mars living in the 
distributor cap where the plug wires went in . . .
