Loctite question(s)

A little confused about Loctite products for my '87.5 CGT:

-For the crankshaft bolt, Bentley says to use Loctite 573 or equivalent.

-The bolts for my 2 piece (NG) intake manifold were clearly treated and had
white residue on them but the Bentley does not specify a brand or grade of
thread product

I may be waaaay out of touch here, but a  web search made it seem they don't
even make 573 anymore.  Local auto parts stores (even the good ones) only
seem to carry Red or Blue.  However, www.grainger.com shows many varieties
(a quick search yielded 3 pages of Loctite thread products alone).

Does anyone know of a conversion chart or guide to translate the old product
numbers to new?  Or, better yet, is there a "cheat sheet" for the correct
thread products I should be using for different engine/suspension/brake
components on my Coupe?

I'm not necessarily stuck on Loctite; also be interested in other brands
that have served you well.
