That's where it is, the ones on the front of the crank are not reliable
after the car has been used.

There is a mark on the *back* of the cam sprocket, that is supposed to
be lined up with the top of the cam cover gasket.

"Stock" idle timing is 12 DBTDC - I would advise starting there and then
adjusting for "optimum" with your new cam.

Probably a good idea, it's always good to check, anyway.

On KE3, it doesn't.  The idle timing is set at the factory at 12 BTDC, 
and a plate is riveted over the dist. nut so no one can mess it up.  The 
ECU plays with it from there.  If you move it, the ECU still does the 
same adv/ret things, but starting from your new "zero" point.
