Wheel bolt grade

My wheel bolts on the 5kT are grade 8.8, so that should be fine. You might as well use what the factory uses. Do you have a link to the bolts? I couldn't find M14 in the fine pitch. Thanks.

Unless I am way off base the bolt is a M14 x 1.5.  McMaster does carry these in grade 8.8

I considered this, but higher grade is not always better.  With more strength comes a more brittle component less able to handle shock.

The company I work for uses a bunch of metric fasteners.  When our vendor comes in next I will ask him on these.  I am leaning towards grade 8.8, but I will also look for 12.9.
