hey everyone, thanks so much for the help and tips. i panicked and the job
wasnt nearly as bad as i figured it woudl be. dontcha LOVE when that's the
case? sticking your head under the car [with the bumper on] you have a clear
line of sight to the underside of the hood pin receptacle [pass side]. reach
up with a screwdriver, do a bit of jam jam and wiggle wiggle and it popped
free. took a alittle bit of finagling to line it up, and a few smacks with
a rubber mallet to tweak the post into shape, but now its all set.

and that concludes about 3 months of audilessness as i replaced..
alternator with ultranator, starter, euro's + harness, acc belts, all PS
lines rebuilt, most new coolant lines, replace most every vaccum line in the
engine bay, all new radiator mounts, and a full tune up. [i know.. i know..
i work slow, and have a full time job, gf and social life =]

made possible in no small part by the folks on this list.

thanks!!
jim
