Opinions on South Sound (WA) mechanics?

Hi, I don't have the time/place to try and track down my fuel/no-start problems anymore, so I'm looking around for mechanics. I'm located in Tacoma proper, and the last place I went, specializing in VW and Audi (sort of) didn't manage to get the steering wheel back on properly and they're 15 mi. away. So they're last on my list right now.

I live near two places:

1 A non-marque garage called Lloyd and Wilson's, they usually have nice cars there for service (5-series, LandRover, even a Ferrari) and I've seen an '8* 5kcstq parked there once. They have been very helpful when I've brought in batteries for charging and testing (free both times) but I know they charge more for actual mechanical work.

2 A smaller shop called Dan Knowles Foreign Auto Clinic. Dan Knowles specializes in German and Northern European autos and apparently has 40 years experience. A bunch of older Porsches in the garage. When I talked to him this morning about my car, it turns out that he drives the same car as I do. I mentioned my suspicions about the fuel system, and he seemed more of a "diagnose instead of throw parts at it" kind of mechanic.

Both places are clean and seem okay, but I thought I'd see if the list had any prior experience with either. At this point, I'm leaning towards Dan Knowles since he drives an '86 as well. Both are within two blocks of me (and downhill, yay!)

TIA
