Go to Hella.com. Various rally ready lights, such as
the Hella 2000 8" round. Should cover up the holes
in the reflectors pretty well, BUT would be EXTREMEMLY
vulnerable to being bumped. They can handle obscene
illegal amounts of wattage, and are availible with various
lenses, fog, driving (what you want), pencil (not
a lot of spread, from what I know)beams. They should come
with opaque stone sheilds, but you should also StoneGuard
them if and only if you use sane wattages. Since they'll
handle 200W each, you may not wish to stoneguard if you go
up wattage as you could cause overheating. Now if Scotch
could just come up with DeerGuard, and InattentiveDriverofSUV
WhileTalkingonCellPhoneGuard (had an encounter yesterday, was
half in my lane), we'd be all set.

On the road tonight my life flashed before my eyes as a dumb deer decided to
cross the road and stop just as I was coming. Worst part is, although the
stupid thing was parked in my lane for quite some time, I did not see it
until it was almost too late. The lights on this car ('86 4kcsq) are
criminal! I'm sick of it and I want visibility at night!
I am planning to take off the bumper in the next few days anyway, so this
would be a good time for a nice upgrade. I am thinking of mounting some
giant lights to the bumper mounting positions to cover up the ugly holes
that will be left after my bumper reflectors shatter when I try to take them
off.
Recommendations wanted! I want to turn night into day! I want sunshine to
come at a flick of a switch! I want to melt 2-gauge wires with power draw to
these suckers! LET THERE BE LIGHT! Whom makes what I want and what will it
cost me?
Just FYI, I dont want to keep these things on all the time. But my way home
has a few very dark wooded areas on the way. I dont care if the lights are
street legal or not.
Thanks,
