it isn't a good idea to put on anything that sticks out in front of the bumper, 
they will hit stuff and probably take more rocks. Just parallel parking can be 
made more of an adventure if you forget they are there. I would say shell out 
the money for euro-lights and build a new wiring harness. In the meantime 
something like my Hellas (you saw them) would help mounted into the top of the 
bumper. (use a hole saw to cut through the plastic, then drill through the rest 
of the way and then reach around the back side to bolt them on.
