Argh! How do get my hood open?

I'd like to add, that the drivers side lever is "pushed" by the sheath, 
and the opposite side is "pulled" by the cable.  This is why often the 
two will unlatch at slightly different times.

Do the coat hanger trick, put in a new cable and all the little bits of 
hardware, and watch it in action, you'll see what I mean.
