I was never arguing about anything - I just mentioned that blasting around 
in the rain at high speeds is a real good way to discover that your so 
called "hydroplane proof" tires are not.

And I cited the FAA formula - the one they use.

Any further comments from me (and I notice that just about all of the 
further comments from everyone else as well) were simply aimed at trying to 
get a better understanding of WHY the FAA's numbers seem to work. Remember 
they are not selling anything, so they can afford to tell the truth.

It's been a pretty educational discussion, and I learned that there is a 
LOT to the physics of tires-on-the-road. I'm glad we did it.
