[urq] Re: CIS question

I have "messed" with the Allen screw next to each fuel line on two fuel
distributors.
The first was years ago on a rabbit that after a engine swap the engine had
a lean surge at part throttle. I turned each screw in just a few degrees
and it ran great ever after.
Just last week I finally decided to try turning these screws on my UrQ as it
seems to have a bit of lean surge and excessively high exhaust gas temps. I
hesitated because I know these screws are factory preset and not to be
messed with, but I figured so is idle speed and mixture on some cars.
I get called a hacker sometimes.
I have no measurements other than idle CO which does not affect mid
throttle.
One of the reasons I think I got my UrQ so cheap is that it didn't run quite
rite, also after a good run, most of the exhaust manifold would be glowing
bright red.
In order to pass emissions the idle mixture screw needs to set such that the
car runs quite poorly.
Due to several reasons, I have not had time to put enough miles on the UrQ
to really tell how well it is running.
For these screws, in is richer and a little goes a long way.
I don't suggest messing with these adjustments although I seem to have
gotten away with it.
