Window Regulator Motor Wiring

I got tired of waiting for a used window regulator to arrive so I
decided, I have nothing to lose at this point in trying to redo the
cable on my old one.

My question is as follows:

There are two wires that go to the window regulator motor -- Green and 
Black.

Reversing polarity causes the motor to change direction.

Which is UP ??

I am pretty sure that Green to Positive and Black to Negative is UP,
but I just wanted to make sure.

If it matters the regulator is from a 1991 Coupe Quattro.
