noisy power steering

I've noticed that my pump gets noisy for a few minutes after some high rpm
usage.  If I really hoof it into my business park in the morning using alot
of second and third gear, then the pump is pretty noisy while I'm parking
the car.  I have thought about autocrossing the car some, but I'm a little
leery of what 1+ min of high revs might do.  The car is an '89 90q.

Start by topping up the resevoir. Our pumps tend to groan when the
pentosin runs low.
