My 90FWD front inside CV are 100mm, same size as my 100Q (100mm) BUT the splines are bigger on my 100Q. Same splines on 90Q 108mm CV.
90Q has big CV 108mm so the shafts.
My 90 1988 FWD has small CV joints , 100mm. And the shafts are small.
No big CV on small shafts, never seen.
You need 90Q shaft and CVs with big flange on the tranny. OR
90FWD shaft and CVS with small flanges on the tranny.
I did tried all mixed here to find a way to convert mine and compare to 100Q, 90Q and 90FWD.

OK, I used the bolt through the flange method of removing the stub shaft
from the transmission, all 4 came out no problem (2 per
trans.) Unfortunately for me, they are not interchangeable, the one with
the large CV bolt pattern is also 2-4 mm larger and thus the ones I need to
put in are too small for the new transmission. So I have a trans from a 5
cyl 90, and my car is a 4 cyl 80. Other than this the transmission goes in
fine, I already have it in the car, starter and slave hooked up, and the
gearshift goes through all the gears fine.
I did some research on the CV joints (inner and outer.) I discovered the
outers are the same between both cars, but the inners are different. So I
just need to find a way to put larger inner CVs on my shaft (option 1) or
put in the whole shaft assemblies from a 2wd 90 (option 2.) So the main
question here is: will a larger inner CV joint go onto the same shaft as
the smaller CV. I think the larger is a 100mm CV, and the smaller is a 90mm.
