Alternator install help needed

Car in question is '91 200q.

Putting the car back together, I have the front engine mount out (had
to replace broken bolts).

Now I have the front engine mount, two sheetmetal pieces and the
alternator. I can't figure out what the sheetmetal pieces do and where
they go. Anyone who can help me with this, it would be greatly
appreciated- neither the Bentley nor the Haynes seem to show anything
about these brackets.

One is V-shaped, with a bolt hole on one end, an open slot on the
other. The other sheetmetal piece is very small, one bolt hole, with
some curled edges obviously made to fit over something.

Thanks. Otherwise, I'll have to bring the pieces to my mechanic for
assembly, PITA. :-)
