NG v. NF

Thanks to all for the info.  I'm looking for a core engine to build for my
'89 90q and found one out of a '90 100.  Wanted to be able to use as much
as possible.

Does your intake manifold have 2 pieces, the plenum is more rectangular,
and curves way over the top of the valve cover, and have "Audi" embossed
in it?  It is NG style.
Is your intake manifold one piece, more cylindrical plenum, doesn't say
anything on it, and has lots of space between the plenum and the valve
cover?  Then it is NF style.

I don't know exactly when they made the switch.
