Since the front brakes do most of the work of braking, switching to

I don't know the model year of your coupe, I assume it's post-1985,
which ought to have 10.1" brake rotors.  In this case there is no
benefit in changing to the 80/90 fwd brakes.  If your rotors are 9.4"
then you could bolt-on the later rotors and calipers.  No need to
switch the struts.

No, type 89 lights won't fit your coupe.  Euro H4/H1 lights are the best
upgrade.  There are also Euro H4-only lights that cost somewhat less.
Another option is to go with the 1984 or earlier front grill and quad lamp
bezels and frames, then install "standard" E-code rectangular lamps.
No matter which route you go, a relay wiring harness is a must.
