turbo nuts

Just wanted to let you guys know that I finally was able to remove the nuts, well actually the studs are the ones that came out. I used Metal Ready from POR to help loosen up the rust. I think this did the trick and it made all the parts look nice and clean. I also heated up the turbine housing slowly using just propane to loosen up the tapped holes for the studs.
I was also able to get the broken stud out by welding a nut onto it. Those studs take a lot of heat... I had to use the highest heat setting on a 120A welder before it would stick. The nut turns red hot almost instantly. I waited till it was cool, then heated the underside of the housing, and it came right out. Hope this info might be useful to somebody encountering rusty exhaust hardware in the future. Oh and hope everyone enjoys the Thanksgiving break.

oxy-propane setup BTW. I think the heat weakened the stud cuz it broke right
below the nut, even though the stud never got red hot, like the nut.
Weird... so now I'm hesitant to use that much heat...
