T44 power window question-HELP

Sounds like the cable has munched itself. You're stuck without at least
taking off the door panel. You could then disconn the window, slide it
up by hand and duct tape it *or something*.

I dunno when Audi started using the stupid blind e-clip, but if you've
got that..............have an inspection mirror and lots of patience.
Last time I nearly cut off the stud for the e-clip and welded some
all-thread in it's place......popping it off is one thing, reinstalling
is another.

And in truth be glad it stopped partway down. If it fails in the full
up position, you're left having to remove the "inner inner" door panel,
or (as I did in typical white trash fashion) doing some creative cutting
and clearancing of the "inner inner" to manuever it out of there.

Keith L
an angle grinder and welder cures all, eh?

All,

Happy Thanksgiving quattronutz. The patient is a 86 5k csq. After
having
paid a toll while driving to work this morning, my drivers power window
made
a horrible crunching sound then ceased closing. It will continue down
without the noise, but it will not move up to close. With this
afternoon/evening's heavy rain forecast in the NE, I would like to get
the
window up without disassembling the door panel (yeah, right!).

Any BTDT on this?

TIA,
Jim
