Aftermarket Window Regulators for CGT?

I recall some recent posts about those aftermarket parts. Apparently
the fit is not good and it has been necessary to bend the new part a
bit and drill or enlarge some of the mounting holes. Also, they don't
move the window as fast.

I'd suggest that the original design lasted this long, so it can't
really be all that bad. I've bought a couple of used ones and have so
far made 3 good regulators for my CGT and urq. My last challenge is
to cut and splice to make one good cable out of two hosed ones and
then reassemble the last regulator for the passenger side of my CGT.

In fact it now moves faster/smoother than it ever has int he past 3 years I've owned the car. But now I'm getting an aweful crunching noise from the passenger side and it only goes down about 1". Time for a new regulator! So, rather than replacing a bad design with another of the same bad design, I'd like to put in an improved one. Anyone ever put in one of those aftermarket regulators that you can get from BLAU or the other WorldPac dealers? How does it work? Are there other alternatives like using ones from another Audi that doesn't use cable lift? Thoughts?
