A6 hood discvery!

Wishing that the hood on my A6 4.2 soon to be 02 S6 sedan would open up verticle much like mercedes does, I inspected the hood hinges and noticed that there is a drilling for a 6 mm bolt. 

Remove the hood shock then open the hood verticle, and thread a 6 mm bolt (bout 30mm long) through a hole in one of the hinge arms, and into the threaded part and viola! the hood now opens verticle and holds itself with a bolts in both hinges... Just make sure to remove the bolt prior to shutting.. :)
